Chain link fencing is primarily a low cost, functional fence used as a barrier. It is more often used in a commercial setting such as playground, tennis courts, industrial storage facilities and as temporary construction fencing. In a residential setting, it is the least attractive when used as a perimeter fencing to define your property lines.

Styles

Chainlink fencing does not have many options other than various heights, colored vinyl coatings which can improve aesthetics and mesh size.

Pros It is one of the least expensive metal fence options.

Cons Perhaps one of the least attractive and therefore mostly used for its utilitarian purposes.
